The Construction Management Graduate will support the delivery of Rycroft’s residential developments, gaining practical experience in site operations, project planning, quality, health and safety, and subcontractor coordination.
Working alongside experienced site and project teams, the graduate will develop the skills needed to progress into a construction management role.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Site Manager and Project Manager with the day-to-day coordination of site activities.
- Assist with planning and monitoring works against the construction programme.
- Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers and site teams to support the timely completion of works.
- Assist with organising labour, materials, plant and deliveries.
- Attend site meetings, record actions and follow up on agreed tasks.
- Monitor progress and help prepare site reports, daily records and project updates.
- Assist with quality inspections, snagging and tracking corrective works.
- Support the maintenance of inspection records and project handover documentation.
- Work with the Health and Safety team to promote safe working practices and report identified hazards.
- Develop an understanding of drawings, specifications, construction methods and sequencing.
- Liaise with engineering, commercial and design teams to help resolve site queries.
- Support waste reduction, efficient use of materials and good site housekeeping.
- Participate in training, mentoring and development activities throughout the graduate programme.
- A recent or upcoming graduate in Construction Management or a related discipline
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Clear communication and a collaborative approach.
- A willingness to learn, ask questions and take responsibility.
- A practical approach to solving problems.
- An interest in residential construction and site management.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office and a willingness to learn construction management systems.
